Tokyo and its splendid spring dress sakura ✿(•͈⌔•͈⑅)♡ Cherry blossoms this year are even better thanks to the blue sky! So I visited even more places! I will share these snapshots of pure happiness~

| 15 mars : Alors que je venais de voir la neige tomber à Kôbe, à Tôkyô l’hiver cède à la douceur et les premières variétés de sakura commencent à fleurir par surprise ! |
March, 15th: While, in Kobe, I have just seen snow fall Kobe, in Tokyo winter yields to mild climate and first sakura types start blooming by surprise! |

Ueno park
| 25 mars : Swan boat sur l’étang Shinobazu, pédalo romantique au calme de la foule de touristes |
March, 25th: Swan boat on the Shinobazu pond, romantic paddleboat making you feel in a quiet place, far from the crowd of tourists. |
Chidorigafuchi
| 28 mars : La pleine floraison est proche ! Mon spot préféré de toujours : Chidorigafuchi, la plus belle promenade au coeur de Tôkyô, le long du palais impérial. |
March, 28th: The full bloom is near! My favorite spot ever: Chidorigafuchi, the most beautiful walk in the heart of Tokyo, along the Imperial Palace. |

| Balade en barque, l’ultime romantisme ! Pour glisser sur l’eau, sous les cerisiers centenaires, avec la Tour de Tôkyô à l’horizon. L’ambiance est au calme émerveillement, un bonheur naturel comme on ne peut le ressentir qu’au Japon ! |
Boat ride, sliding on the water, under the old cherry trees, with the Tower of Tokyo on the horizon, the ultimate romance! Atmosphere of quiet wonder, a natural happiness as one can feel only in Japan! |

National Theater
| Les plus spectaculaires cerisiers que j’ai vus se trouvent dans le jardin du théâtre national *o* Je passais par là en vélo de Chiyoda (électrique !) et ça m’a fait stationner de suite ! |
The most spectacular cherry trees that I have ever seen are located in the garden of the National Theater *o* I was passing by through (electric!) Chiyoda bike and it really motivated me to park on! |
Diet Library
| Ce bâtiment de la Diète (le parlement du Japon) est entièrement entouré de sakura. Ma recommandation : commencer ici et remonter par le théâtre national puis les parcs Chidorigafuchi et Kitanomaru jusqu’à Yasukuni ! |
The building of the Diet (parliament of Japan) is completely surrounded by sakura. My recommendation: start here and go up by the National Theatre and then continue on Chidorigafuchi and Kitanomaru parks up till Yasukuni! |
Yasukuni jinja
| Le sanctuaire abrite beaucoup de sakura, mais avant d’y arriver de nombreux stands de spécialités délicieuses jonchent le chemin depuis le torii. Le sakura matsuri qui s’y tient propose aussi des concerts en plein air en continu |
The sanctuary is home to many sakura. But before getting there, many booths selling delicious specialties litter the path from the torii. The sakura matsuri organized there also offers outdoor concerts. |
Yoyogi park
| Le lieu pour s’asseoir sous les cerisiers entre amis et boire comme jamais. J’ai de bons souvenirs de jeunesse de ce spot ^o^ |
The place to sit under the cherry trees and drink with friends like never before. I have fond youngster memories of this spot ^o^ |
Shinjuku gyôen
| Tout comme le parc d’Ueno, ce lieu est réputé pour ses nombreux cerisiers et est donc surpeuplé. Mais contrairement au parc de Yoyogi, ici l’alcool est interdit et tous les thermos passés au contrôle. |
Like the Ueno Park, this place is known for its many cherry trees, thus it is overcrowded. But unlike the Yoyogi Park, here alcohol is prohibited; all thermos are even controlled at the entrance. |
| Ma recommandation : faire son shopping gourmet au food show de Takashimaya puis venir y pique niquer. Il y a même du baumkuchen du meister Karl Jucheim fraîchement coupé !! |
My recommendation: do one’s gourmet shopping at Takashimaya food show, then come and picnic. At the food show, one can even find the freshly cut Baumkuchen from meister Karl Jucheim!! |
Tokyo Midtown
| 30 mars : Chaleur estivale et pleine floraison !! Pour en profiter, Tokyo Midtown est splendide à regarder, splendide à séjourner ! La sakura dōri en courbe est magnifique et le parc Hinokicho est à mon sens bien plus agréable que les grands parcs Yoyogi ou Shinjuku, c’est mon coup de coeur de l’année |
March, 30th: Summer heat and full bloom!! To take advantage of these ideal conditions, Tokyo Midtown is a gorgeous place to look at, wonderful to walk through! The curve sakura dōri is beautiful. And, to my mind, the Hinokicho park is much gorgeous than large Shinjuku or Yoyogi parks, making it my favorite of the year. |

Kitanomaru park
| Autre lieu que j’adore pour pique niquer dans une ambiance bon enfant. L’entrée par le Nippon Budôkan est somptueuse. C’est mon must, là où je reviens tous les jours voir les fleurs à tous les stades de floraison. |
Another place where I love to picnic in a friendly atmosphere. The entrance through Nippon Budokan is sumptuous. This is my must, the place where I come back every day to see the flowers at all blooming stages. |
| Le meilleur : au bord du parc, longer le haut de la muraille avec vue sur Chidorigafuchi ! Une autre manière de profiter des plus beaux cerisiers dans la discrétion du chemin étonnament peu fréquenté. Attention à ne pas écraser les racines d’arbres, il faut prendre soin de ces sakura ! |
The best: at the edge of the park, walk along the top of the wall overlooking Chidorigafuchi! Another way to enjoy the beautiful cherry trees in the discretion of a path that is surprisingly little used. Be careful not to crush the roots of trees, it is important to take care of these sakura! |
